Me and my grandparents, considering also the inclusion of pupils, coming from different countries, with different cultures and traditions (immigrated families); collecting traditional recipes to prevent them from disappearing. A cookery lesson in a friendly restaurant . Cookery will be the mean to link different generations and different culture, realizing a book in english containing old recipes almost disappearing; Historical and geographical actions: young pupils will search informations about their roots, studying the story of the village, its citizens, its traditions.
In our school we have only few students from different cultures (for example for Vietnam or Slovakai). And our student prepare for us short introduction about your countries.
In our school we have not immigrated families, so our students worked with parents and grandparents. And preparing traditional recipes. We collected recipes and prepared a small cookbook.
We have very traditional recipes, for example „vlčnovské koláčky“. Vlčnovské koláčky are traditional, round-shaped products made of fine buttered pastry butter, decorated with plums and garnish, inside with cheese filling and raisins. They are golden colors, with a typical rum scent. Made of honest ingredients such as whipped cream, butter, lard and rum. Their production in Vlčnov is already traditional, as evidenced by the local chronicler.
