The program of the meeting (April 9 – April 13, 2018 in Wolów, Poland
9th April 2018
08.45 – 10.30: Official reception at school; our guests show the presentations of their schools and towns to our students and teachers.
10.30 – 23.00: The tour of Auschwitz and Birkenau; small groups for students and teachers.
10th April 2018
09.00 – 10.00: Meeting in The Town Hall with The Mayor of Wołów.
10.00 – 14.00: Family Tree: we are meeting in the town library to work on an artistic version of family trees; tips: look at myheritage.com or similar sites which could help your students ‘organise’ their family’s past (in case you haven’t got it yet).
15.00: Trip to Lubiąż monastery.
11st April 2018
09.00 – 13.00: Family Tree: we will continue and finish our works to eventually prepare them for display at school and library.
15.45 – 17.00: Meeting with the students University of 3rd Age: students will show their schools presentations. There will be time for questions (in both directions) to the 3rd AGE Uni students and yours as well.
12nd April 2018
08.30 – 16.00: departure to Wrocław; walk to the Panorama Museum (a 360 degree painting – you are in the middle of a 18th century battle between Polish and Russian troops), tour of the museum, a short walk to Ostrów Tumski – the oldest part of the city, DWARF HUNT (game for students: dwarves are an unofficial symbol of Wrocław; hidden in various places all over the city. How many will you find?). Teachers meeting (preparing next mobility in the Czech Republic).
13rd April 2018
09.00 – 16.00: working on Calendar of memories – we need to collect as many old photos of our families (the older, the better I guess!); it would be great if you had good quality digital versions of the photos with you; of course we can do the scanning here as well. And teachers meeting.
